Hi, i’ve looked around and can’t find a free rotoscoping program…is there one? The one with final cut just sucks, it’s not even rotoscoping, so any suggestions…i have a budget of about zero dollars and zero cents. Thanks

    Cinepaint: https://cinepaint.movieeditor.com/

It requires that you have X11 installed on your mac, and you’ll have to export the footage as a still image sequence. There’s no automation, so you’ll have to mask each frame one at a time. On the plus side, if you’re familiar with Photoshop, you shouldn’t have too much trouble learning how Cinepaint works. You should download & read the tutorial on using the flip book, since that’s the primary feature you’ll need to do any roto work with it.
