any benefit? R3D better perform vs Optimize transcode
SO I have R3D files: Playback is fine of clips if I am in “Better Performance” (no go in better quality-files are all 5K or above)
So is there any reason I would want to transcode/optimize the clips?? -

Depends what playback resolution/debayer quality you want to see. If you don’t have a broadcast 4K monitor you’re not really seeing 1:1 anyway so it’s kind of a moot point.
