I lent my Senn G2 wireless lav out and when it came back in the tip of the antenna on the transmitter has been ripped off so there is about 1/2″ of bare wire now. Is this going to cause a problem and what would you guys recommend to cover the bare wire.

Have you noticed any problems with the unit’s RF stability? If not, I wouldn’t worry about it.

Go to the hardware store and pick up some Plasti-Dip. Just dip the end of the antenna in that and let it dry.

Thanks, I did a quick test and it was fine, I will get that Plasti-Dip, but that will mean a lot of stuff around my house will be coated in plastic :-).

You can send the unit to me and I will replace the antenna with a new one. Sennheiser charges $75 for this, I charge $50. Contact:

If you send both the transmitter and receiver units to me I will replace the antenna.
And, I won’t charge you anything.
