Ha! FCP/compressor v7 must be just like you then, as that sharing only works half the time, and is like pulling teeth. But on a square pixel photojpeg not, it does not seem to be working well…worse then other attempts:

yeah, looks horrible.
The 1024×576 is not the issue. Thats the very frame of PAL SD Anamorphic, but built with Square pixels.
The codec is one of the best available.
Did you de-interlaced the clip?
