Another workflow idea…new? Needing refinement?
This week, I was shooting a couple of day event. I decided to just dump all the ‘rushes’ on the timeline in a bunch of groups, Event x, event y, event z, put 5 black titles between the groups, and then render each batch separately to a new timeline. That gave me a quick and dirty clip of each group of events, I could post the individual clips to Vimeo, and let the client view them, and still have the overall timeline to work with.
Am I the last person to figure this out? Or are there refinements to this? It seems that I am closing in on needing to figure out Production Assistant…but it seems my jobs are too varied for it.
I’d love to see a Vegas workflow seminar for us users that are beyond ‘basics’. How to really optimize Vegas’ Media Manager (which is very different it seems than the same idea in FCP, is it even worth it?). How to take PA and really tune your workflow. Archiving ideas. etc.
