    I have a squeezed video on my site for a client to preview. It downloads progressively as it plays. As it plays while it downloads, the video will momentarily pause every 3-5 seconds until the download is complete, then it plays normally.

    What setting am I missing to prevent this skipping?

    You could set the buffer to a longer duration. Also, CBR will typically download more consistently. Or get a faster connecton on the users side!
