SPACEMAN apologises again for being dumb,
but SPACEMAN cannot get align to spine OR path to work.
SPACEMAN finds the manual unhelpful as SPACEMAN has got no
idea regards 3d interface, etc and has only begun learning
    c4d on an older version, C4D XL7.
SPACEMAN uses After Effects, so any references to similarities
    would be helpful.
Any suggestions on simple step by step stuff would help
    SPACEMAN a lot.
SPACEMAN appreciates your patience and generosity.

Does referrering to yourself in the 3rd person ever get people to take you seriously?

SPACEMAN does not care how seriously
    anyone takes him.
SPACEMAN was hoping for a little assistance.

    SPACEMAN will find another forum.
SPACEMAN has for a few years found contributors
on the cow after effects forum to be superbly generous
with their time and courteous at all times.
Moreover, the after effects forum is extremely helpful
for users from beginners to advanced users.
SPACEMAN will find a C4d forum which practice in
    a similar manner.
SPACEMAN apologises for being such an inconvienience
to the uber-world of this forum.

[spaceman] “SPACEMAN apologises for being such an inconvienience
to the uber-world of this forum.”

No need to apologize. Spaceman is more than welcome to continue asking his questions in the cow’s C4d forum. There’s no reason to go elsewhere.

    Lighten up guys.

    SPACEMAN thanks Kathlyn.

SPACEMAN just wants to play with new toys
to make television more beautiful to watch.

    SPACEMAN has lightened up.

Create a spline and object, Then on the object select the ‘align to spline’ tag. Then drag the spline to the tag window.

Not sure about how to use it in version 7 though. CHRIS has only used C4D since 9.1 🙂
