At the beginning of wedding videos I want to be able to scroll the wedding invitation from bottom to top. In the past I have simply typed in the text and have done a credit roll from bottom to top, trying to match the font of the invitation. I am now scanning the actual invitation and trying to scroll it. I like to have a background of the church, flowers or something that shows through as the text scrolls by. When I try to use the scanned picture of the invitation, it is obviously not transparent. Is there a way to change the opacity of the invitation background, but not the letters? Any help would be appreciated.

If the background color is fairly constant, you could try a Chroma Key effect on it.

Maybe I’m missing something. But what’s the point?

First, why would you scroll from bottom (the end) to the top (the beginning)?

Secondly, Since they paid big bucks for those invitations and the paper they’re printed on, why would you try to mask out the paper and preserve the thin fonts?

When I said scroll from bottom to top I meant the invitation starts at the bottom of the screen and moves toward the top of the screen. You make a good point about the paper, I might try doing it without making the paper “disappear”. Thanks.
