So, the PCI Express Multibridge actually replaces the HD card, right? Now, my question is: How long is the cable? We are moving all of our racks and need to know if the G5 needs to be a certain distance from the Multibridge. With our present Multibridge, there are no restrictions other than the Multibridge needs to be within 300 feet of the G5.

    Hi Steve,

The PCI Express cable is 2 meters (over 6 feet) when using the Multibridge Extreme in capture mode.

You can use 100 meters (over 300 feet) of SDI cable when using the Multibridge in conjunction with a capture device, such as any DeckLink card, or a deck. This scenario works just like the existing Multibridge HD.
