  • Another MTS to .AVI converter?

Posted by Norman Willis on July 17, 2009 at 8:01 am

I don’t get it. I had Cineform converting MTS files to .avi just yesterday…and now it is not working again. It says “No audio stream detected.”

The only change I made was to bump the swap file from 16MB to 12GB. (And I think I will go put it back down).

But is there another MTS (AVCHD) to .avi converter that is compatible with Vegas Pro 9, x32 and/or x64?

    Thanks.

Changing the swap file size could now have affected this. Put it back down and see. Something else must have changed.

    Hi John.

    >>Changing the swap file size could now have affected this. Put it back down and see. Something else must have changed.

    Jake Seagraves of Cineform writes:

    >>Windows updates do not usually effect CineForm software. In fact, we prefer that you have all the latest windows updates installed. Swap disk should also not make a difference.

I think I am going to close this project out, and then I will try tweaking everything again. If Cineform ran twice before, it should run again.

    Thanks.

That was a typo on my part. I meant to say that the swap file could NOT have affected it but I typed a “w” instead of a “t” which gave it a whole different meaning. Wow, sorry about that. Jake is correct, the swap file should not make a difference.

    Hey Nathan,

They upgraded Cineform, and it works great now…but thanks! That’s good to know.
