Another animated vine question (slightly different)
Posted by Nathan on August 21, 2006 at 1:03 amI need to animate growing vines until they completely fill the screen with the color of the vines. Anyone have any ideas on how to go about that? Oh and it needs to start from one point and branch out too many.
Any input greatly appreciated.

August 21, 2006 at 4:33 amThank you. I found that tutorial and is very useful. But I want my vines to be more chaotic and organic. Kinda like wild vines. Starting from one and filling the screen. I am looking at trapcode particular but I am not sure that would do it either.
Any other ideas?

August 21, 2006 at 5:00 amParticle Illusion should do what you want:

See the samples in the middle of the page, then click the Page 2 tab and on the far right top is a, not exactly vine, but a brownish stem with leaves that grows until it fills the screen, And the Cow PI forum can help you modify emitters. Warning, PI can be addictive. The demo is a fully functional 30 day version of the earlier version, but that can do what you want easily, and if I remember right the demo comes with that emitter in the original set, methinks.
