  • Annoying Trim Edit window… Can i lose it?

For some reason, now that I have dual monitors, whenver I go into trim edit mode, it brings up an extra screen, and its always in the way of what I am working with on the timeline. This slows me down a great deal because I have to keep moving the window every time so i can see what im doing.

Before, I could just press my key for trim edit (n), and then select a place on the timeline and set the new out-point with (m).

Now, everything is slowed down by this window popping up.

Is there are way to get rid of it popping up? Or can i somehow set a default place for it to pop up so its not in the way??

The trim edit window is evoked so you do not have to mark an edit point in the timeline. You mark it in the trim edit window. That’s what it’s for. Perhaps you don’t mean to call it up, but which to work in the timeline, then it should not be evoked. It will always come up over the canvas and takes it sizing from that window.

    All the best,
