I’m new with Final Cut. I worked a lot with Adobe Premiere, but I feel the marked ask me to change to Final Cut. Can someone please explain me why Final Cut needs to render every time I put a effect to the video or changing position in the timeline!? I get crazy of it! I already transferred all my source videos into Apple ProRes 422. In Adobe Premiere mostly you do not need to render, and if you still can keep on working in stead of waiting for couple of minutes.

    Thanks a lot!

If you have to render constantly, your sequence isn’t set up right. What are your sequence settings, and what are your media properties (you said ProRes 422?)

One way to be positive you have the settings right is to make a new sequence and edit in some of your source footage. A message will pop up saying the media and sequence settings don’t match, asking if you want it to fix the sequence – say yes. Then you should be good.
