    Hi

This is probably an easy fix but its giving me a headache.

I have created a custom shape using live trace. I now want to use a brush with it to degrade the look of it.

The brush pallete is empty and all the options for brushes are grey out. If I open a new(old) file all the default brushes appear again.

Can you help please, I tried many manuals and online to no avail.

    Thanks in advance

Select it with the marquee… then choose Edit > Define Brush
