I’m getting some sort of system notification on certain tasks when working in Premiere that effect the performance and my concentration. Clip attached to this post has the audio alert in it several times. Just noticed that it does not seem to occur if I turn scopes off, but that kinda needed while I’m color correcting. I’ve also noticed having scopes on always seem to effect my audio a bit as well so maybe there’s a clue there but I wouldn’t know why. The system notifications on my PC are completely turned off. I also think it happens whenever I try to share Premiere on a zoom call or something so maybe it’s RAM overload but my Puget SYstems PC has 64 GB and shouldn’t really balk at this 1080 footage.

    Hey Mario,

That does sound like a Windows notification of a program closing, or crashing.

Sometimes it is worth running through your Task Manager and “end tasks” on anything that is not in use. You should also check the “Startup” tab and deactivate any program that you don’t need running when starting up the PC.

There is always on my PC a number of software packages that stays open, even if I have closed them. And you might have to scroll through “Background Processes” to find them.

You mention Zoom, could it be that your PC is trying to close the Zoom desktop application in the background, and that keeps starting? (Sorry in advance, I have literally no idea whether or why that would ever happen)
