Annoyance/Bug?
Does it bother anyone else that when you adjust an item’s in/out point by dragging, the pop-up overlay covers the playhead in the timeline:
Is this a bug? Or is there a reason they did that instead of having it pop-up below the timeline?

I never noticed that before, I use the I and O keys a lot.

The whole user tips and tool tips thing is a PITA. They should be transparent AND they should be smart enough not to cover important interface features. Your observation could be placed in the Apple feedback folder at apple.com’s disscussions for Motion.
