    AniMatte Effect????

    I’ve looked over the AniMatte Effect in the Avid Advanced Effects Guide and still can not seem to figure out this effect. All I need to do is create a matte to put images on a tv screen the was shot on video.

    I have the TV shot on V2 and the video I want to replace on V1. I’ve dropped the AniMatte effect on the V2 (TV footage) and nothing happens. I’ve clicked on the oval tool, but I never see a hole.

    Any help would be great. I only have one day to complete this!!

    Wow. I figured it out. I’m kind of bummed that it’s not very good looking. Even with blurring and anti-alias checked and tweaked. I used the polygon tool.

    If you have any tips…I’d love to hear them.

    Feather, Feather, Feather is the best advice I can give you…I have used it to make some good effects but AfterEffects mask tool is the optimum way to go
