  • Animator needs help with multiply key?

Posted by Weatherman5 on April 20, 2007 at 11:19 pm

I have premier pro and I am trying to have the animation drawings on video track 3 show through to see the Background art on video track 2 below it. (like in photoshop “multiply layer” )aftereffects its called blending mode multiply.

all the premier pro self help says is to use the multiply key but this gives no results for me. The old premier I used to use on a mac premier 5 6 and so on it was simple, just select the footage and choose i beleive it was video/transparencey/multiply,

    please help ??

Doesn’t Opacity degrade the quality of the art though, it lowers the contrast of the footage or drawing. I would have to do it to every single frame. is there a way to just select the whole video track or select the footage and just aply a transparency that will make the tracks transparent on top of eachother? thanks for your help guys.

Opacity is probably not what you want. Tell us more about your animation. Didn’t you create it with an alpha channel to make it’s background transparent?

Is the background of the animation a solid color that can be keyed out?
