In the original default library there was a walking mouse. It seems as if most of all the new libraries have been very similar in that there seem to be a ton of light flares, explosions, waterfalls of all kinds of particles and such but I would love to see more real animations of actual characters. I know there are some fish animations in a few of the libraries and would love to see more of this….dolphins, birds, sharks and things of this nature. Wish I could draw myself but a straight line with a ruler is about as good as I get. Would also love for a pI to have its own text generator.

I’ve said this before, but the reason you see more flares, sparkles, etc. is that they are using the various particleIllusion features — they use combinations of simple, existing images to make interesting effects.

The “animation” emitters you’re talking about aren’t really using particleIllusion features — they’re using complex image sequences to do all of the work. For this you need somebody to generate the complex sequence of the mouse walking, bird flying, etc. That’s something that I don’t have the talent or time to do.

Ah, pretty nice. One suggestion: the legs don’t end in the same position they start, so they “jump” back to the initial position. It ruins the smooth loop.

Once you fix the loop, make the output resolution 256 x 256.

I’d also like to see a greyscale version of the eagle (with alpha), and also a plain white “matte” version — where there’s no internal detail, just a silhouette of the eagle (like the flapping bird particle shape image that already exists).

I’ll work on it later today and re-post. The grey scale and matte only version will be easy once it is re-rendered.

Made the changes and added the grey and white all with alpha.
