Need a little detailed advice to make my animations happen on top of a moving ball.

I don’t know how to combine the two. Like, I have a big ball, like Earth, moving and spinning slowly around. I would like my animated models to function independantly of the ball, but on top of it at the same time, so the background is always changing.

Sorry for the noobish request. 🙂

do you mean project an image onto the sphere?
turn the sphere into a screen?
render your animation and then add an alpha animated texture on top of the earth?

    I don’t understand your question.

I mean I want render my 3D moving ball, then add another 3D character that functions and moves independantly on top of the ball, then I want to add a couple effects (particular and light) to the 3D character and have those effects stay with the moving 3D character, like a halo, and while all that is going on I want to have my 3D ball constantly moving and revealing a different background.

    Know what I mean?
