    Hi.
I would like to create an animation of still images which I have drawn myself. I tried to import all of these images to Adobe Premiere and place them onto time-line. But when I klicked on play button, the animation went so slowly… the time-line was very slow. How to solv this problem, so that I could create a drawn animation in Premiere. I understand that there are many other programs for that, but Premiere givs you a possibility to save your video in so many formats.
Thank you and I hope someone answers

Welcome Mikael- If you get a chance, fill out ‘System Details’ in your profile so we can see the strengths or weaknesses of your system.

Are you doing cell animation or keyframe animation? Either way, to get a good preview, press Enter or click Sequence/Render Work Area. As you add clips to the timeline you may see a red line at the top of the sequence, this indicates that you need to render a preview for accurate playback.

Other considerations: defragmenting, additional ram, multiple hard drives for storing source files, Project/Project Settings/General/Playback Settings… Uncheck all options for playback on DV hardware.

Hi, thank you for the answer. No I just want to do cell animation of images. And when I place them on timeline and klick play button the animation goes very slowly because the time line cursor or what it is called moves very slowly. Maybe because Premiere is for videofiles with at least 26 frames per sekund? And for doing cell animation I do not need 26 pictures per sekund, it is not a real film it is just a drawn animation. Can I do so that the time line goes faster?

Hmmm. You could force a rendering by creating a new sequence (sequence 02), than dropping the main animation sequence (sequence 01) into it’s timeline. Than, apply Gaussian Blur to the nested sequence, leave the default blur setting of ‘0.0’.
You will now be able to do a pre-render by pressing ‘Enter’.
This should allow you to to see a full speed preview.

Also, I’d consider using a standard frame rate, such as a film frame rate. New project, Custom settings, 23.976 FPS. Set the video compressor rendering settings to ‘None’.
