    Hi Everyone
I have a project which will be shown on a 3 projector montage
at a combined resolution of 1648 x 471. I have been creating the content in After Effects.
Now I want to bring all the different clips together and edit it to the soundtrack.
    some are 720 x 576, some are 640 x 480, some 1648 x 471
but i want it all to happen in the 1648 x 471 canvas size,
how do I set up the FCP project to do this for me? can i work with different aspect ratios like this?
also, if I can what codec would be best for me to convert all my work to beforehand?

all suggestions greatly appreciated! I really hope my favourite software can do this for me..
    J

FCP does allow custom frame sizes but it doesn’t handle them well at all.
You would have a much less stressful time doing it all in After Effects, in my opinion, and you can monitor audio using AFX. Just do a search in the help for info on how to preview audio.

If you do want to do it through FCP, go to Sequence Settings and type in your custom frame size with square pixels. Not recommended though.
