Animation for showing hot / cold liquid going through tubes
I need to create an animation that illustrates cold liquid flowing through a tube – going through a box and then coming out hot.
I was thinking of animating a loop of a gradient of cool colors on one object and then animating a loop of warm colors on another but don’t know how to accomplish this.
It would look something like this but I want to show that there’s liquid flowing through the tubes
This image isn’t the set-up I’m creating – there’s a box where the cold line becomes hot and the hot line becomes cold so this is just a generic representation of how simple the design needs to be.
I just need to know how to animate like a red/orange gradient to illustrate movement of liquid through the tubes.

I would just create a colored version of that diagrams and an “empty” version then reveal the colored verso by using an image mask. The source of the image mask would be a paint stroke along the tube, animated with the Write On behavior.
