    Hello!

I want to make a short story about two people finding love in this big world.. It will be an introduction to a wedding party. I`m not into animation at all, so I just wonder if there is a place to pick characters and exterior to make such a story ? I will use text to tell the story, and the animation will only be for illustration.. Hmmm.. Is this possible at all?

If you want to make 2D animation you can use Smith Micro Anime Studio. You can actually get it for free. There are video tutorials and it’s not to hard to learn if you understand keyframes from Vegas. You can also use the Puppet Tool from After Effects for some quick 2D animation. For 3D there is Reallusion iClone. This will allow you to play movie director and tell the characters where to move and then move the camera in 3D space around them. Very cool for pre-vis work too.

Yeah! 2D animation is great.. I will play around with this and see what I can manage… Is it hard to learn? What about making faces.. Could I in a way animate a face from a photo?

This is kind of the easy solution I`m looking for, but I think the price is too high.. Hmmm.. Is it possible to make such animations with the Anime Studio?

Just looked at it briefly, and thought it was hard to make a scene with characters and exterior.. Just have to read the tutorial and try some more (-:

You might want to start with iClone. There is a free version that is limited but it’s easier to set up a scene with actors than Anime Studio. Reallusion also has a product called Crazy Talk that can make still images come to life and talk so you could use pictures of the actual people and make them talk.
