  • Animation codec in FCP

    To All
    I’ve a created a short QT movie in AE CS3. Output as 720×480, 29.97
    animation codec.
When I try to view it in FCP (Studio 2) neither the viewer or the canvas will display playback. Sequence is set to animation.
However, I can see playback on studio monitor via Kona IO SDI output.
Does FCP not like the animation codec?
    What’s up with this?
    Thanks in advance for help.

You are correct. Animation is not a realtime codec.
Use the 8 or 10 bit uncompressed codec instead.

So my intuition was correct. 8 bit uncompressed it is!
    Thanks for help.
