hi, i’m trying to move a section of an infinity loop round the infinity loop path, ending where it started. but using start and end growth of sweep nurbs only gets me halfway round the path. does anyone know how to offset paths in sweep nurbs so i can keep the start and end growth values constant, but just animate the position of the nurb on the path? sounds simple but i’m totally baffled…

    here’s the r14 file attached.

it can’t be done like you want in a Sweep Nurb I think. You want to take a Cube with about the same dimensions as your sweep and use a Spline Wrap deformer as a child of the cube, using the infinity loop as the Spline and Mode set to Keep Length. Then you can move it like you want with the Offset parameter.

The box (cube) will need enough Segments to bend smoothly
