animating weight-value on moving mesh?
Hi cow,
I’ve got an rigged/weighted/animated character and I would like to gradually decrease the weight value of the joints over time to none. So that the moving joints no longer have any influence over the mesh.
On the weight tag there is a slider for weight percentage and is keyframeable. However even when animating it from 100% to 0% over a long period of time there is no effect until the value reaches zero.. so there is not a smooth transition but a sudden ‘pop’ as the mesh is finally ‘released’ from the weighting.
Any ideas?
