animating vector art
I am looking into an easy way to animate on floral vector art.
The look is pretty common these days: pretty floral vector art, vines and leaves, that “grow” on and flourishes.
trouble is, the only way I know how to execute such an animation is by hand, masking on the image manually, WAY too time consuming.
Perhaps there is a better way?
Maybe software that can create this? a plugin?
I seem to remember a while back some Maya plugin for AE that did something like this.any suggestions are appreciated.

There is an excellent tutorial right here on the Cow covering that very topic:
I should warn you – nothing good comes easy. This effect does require patience, time and the willingness to do a lot of manual tinkering. No real way around that.
