Animating the scribble effect
I tried Aaron’s tutorial about Animating A Signature With A Pen, but I would like to be able to animate a pen drawing a picture using the scribble effect. Is there an expression that would have the pen following the scribble effect as it was drawing? Can it follow something that has no path or keyframes? Thanks for any help.

Unfortuantely, I don’t think there’s any way for an expression to figure out (or control) where scribble is drawing at any given time.

The only thing I can think of would be to try and track the animating scribble, the leading edge. You might have to do some of it manually. If you can track it you could use the track point to position the pen point.
