I am pretty new to C4D and just upgraded to version 9.1. I am just beginning a project which will require lots of morphing textures/shaders, but I haven’t gotten a grip yet on how to do this. I have no problem changing basic material qualities such as color via setting keyframes by control clicking on the little red circle, but what I want to do is to vary shader parameters and even morph between different noise functions and shaders, but the same approach doesn’t seem to create the appropriate keyframes or transitions. At first I just thought the issue was that a render was needed to see the effect, but even after rendering the change seems to lock in over the entire test animation and the f-curve is flat. Are there some limitations to what can be animated within the materials editor? I assume that any attribute with the dot next to it must accept keyframing.

Any suggestions on how to do what I want? Thanks in advance.
