Animating text around a circle

One way is to:
Make a path in the shape of a circle.
Use text on a path and put text on the path.
Then create your circle.
Create a null.
Make the text, circle and the null 3d.
Parent the text to the null.
Animate the rotation of the null to make the text rotate around your circle..
Make another null (and make it 3d too)
Parent the first null to this second one. Rotate this second null to get your text at the angle you desire.

That should do it. There, of course, are other ways.

there is a text preset called ‘3d rotate around a circle’ that will do what you are looking for. open the effects & presets window and type that preset name in and then apply in to a text layer. you’ll then want to rotate the layer’s x-axis to see it better.

you may have some problems getting a ‘globe’ in the middle of that text. if that is what yo need to do, you might instead apply the cc sphere or cc cylinder effect to the text layer (without the preset). both of these will allow you to set a render option to inside or out side, allowing you to ‘split’ the text layer into halves so you can place an object in between them.
