I have a rectangle mask on a layer with a wide graphic.

I want to animate the horizontal position of the graphic while the mask is acting as a clipping path/mask.

I used the pan tool to move the graphic where I wanted it and set a new position keyframe, but when testing, the mask is no longer masking the graphic.

What is the proper way to ‘pan’ the image behind the mask over time?

    Thanks

The Pan tool is just for viewing. You need to key frame the the x position of your graphic and also keyframe the mask shape within the mask itself.

If you’re using th Pan-behind tools, there can be changes in:
    Position, Anchor-Point and Mask-shape,

so be sure to set keyframes for al of those properties.
