    Hey Everyone,
I’m trying to figure out how to make some neon pipes in my scene flicker (similar to the star on the welcome to las vegas sign) without having to keyframe everything…kind of like wiggle in AE…any ideas how to do something like this? let me know, thanks 🙂

Ok quick noob follow up: how do I get the glow brightness property to show up? Do I drag in the material, or the object? Thanks for the help on this 🙂

I forgot Glow has a Random parameter you could use that as well but I don’t know if it does the right thing (I have no clue what the Las Vegas star does). If it’s not right here is an example of a noise plugged into the Radius parameter of Glow. The type of noise and it’s settings as well as the parameter it’s plugged into (it can be plugged into any parameter the XPresso node sees) are going to make the result different. Hopefully you’ll find something right in there.

totally makes sense, but my final question is way more basic/beginner than that…I totally understand dragging and dropping any object into the xpresso window will add a node, but how do I add an individual property of a node in (i.e. I can get the material into the xpresso editor, but I can’t figure out how to get the “glow radius” property into that material into the editor to tie to another node)…it’s a noob question but the help is very much appreciated :)…

click on the blue square (for incoming info) or red square (for outgoing info) of the top bar of the node and choose the property you want from the list that pops up.
