  animating curves using expression controls

  hi guys
  I am trying to figure out how I can produce this old tv effect where the colors sort of break into its individual channels, so I figured
  I could use the curves in color collection. but I want to use the expression controls to drive the individual channels, the problem is that the expression controls only works with attributes which have values so how can I make these curves attributes show numbers,or convert to numbers.
