Animating camera/3D object
Here’s the scenario. There are 34 spinning boxes with pictures on one side that were created in 3ds Max. Each is 300 frames long. Every other sequence is positioned opposite (one on the left, one on the right). Brought each (tga sequence) into AE and turned them into a 3D layer. Fudged with the z-axis value to separate each box equally. Added a camera and am trying to animate the camera. The camera is going to fly through the boxes and around frame 266 for each, the picture appears. There will be text that also appears to display the name of the person. I guess what I am needing is an easier way to set this all up because I have gone back and forth for quite a while. I have set the layers to orient to the camera, oriented the camera to a path. I animated the Y-axis rotation on the camera to 22.5/-22.5 degrees for every other layer so itll pan right to left, etc. I also animated the position of the camera but only changing the Z value. Some boxes appear in the frame, so are halfway, and some don’t show up at all. What values do I need to edit and what is the quickest way to address something like this without having to redo over and over? I havent dabled with Expressions very much and I’m sure something here would be perfect. HELP!
Thanks for any help/clarification.
Rose
