    Hi,

I am creating a website with lots of Lighting effects (I HOPE) and I would like to use the lens flares and Light Rays to animate behind texts so that when a user rolls over the text it will animate with the light effect behind the text.

    Two part question:

    1. Is there a way to create the light ray so that it has an alpha channel on the background, meaning I only export the lens ray and the text in front of it without the background? I have had to use a solid layer to create the light ray/ lens flare and I just want to have the light and the text export, any ideas?????

    2. What is the best way to export, SWF or Image Sequence to retain the alpha channel for the rollover action in FLASH 8?

    Thanks for your help

RE (1): I am at work, and cannot try, but what happens if you add a new comp, then click the transparency button (you know, the one at the bottom of the composition window) to toggle transparent background, then add the text, then the effect??
