I have a project for a client who needs an illustrator file of an infinity symbol with 4 coloured arrows in it to animate around the symbol. I’m having a problem animating it going round and was wondering if anyone knows a much simpler way then endlessly keyframing it. Cheers!

There is a plug-in at aescripts.com called Easy Arrows.

Works great but you still need to keyframe.

Ive done this numerous times in Maya and Max heck even as far back as Infini-D 🙂

    But those are 3D apps.

You could draw a shape or mask path around the infinity symbol and reference this path with the “pointOnPath” expression on the position of your arrow layer. Then add auto orient to the layer and the arrow should orient along the path
