Animating a text layer with a linked text
I’ve run across a problem in Motion 5.4.
I linked the Text property of a text layer A to the Text property of a text layer B (with the Link parameter behaviour). But any animation behaviour, I applied to the text layer A, works with the length of the original text of the layer A, while Motion shows the linked text.
Does anyone know how to solve this?

Here’s how it looks. I’ve added two text layers (for two different title designs) and connected one text layer to another one. But the default text of the linked layer is “Type here your text” — the Blur In behaviour takes the length of this string instead of the length of the source text.

I meant one showing your project. I’m not understanding what properties of the text you’re trying to link.

You’ve probably figured it out by now. But maybe try making your original text really long so that if you’re animating by character, and it’s using the original text as the length, you’ll have enough characters to animate.
