Animating a hashed line along a mask
I am trying to get an effect of a dotted line (or maybe arrows etc) travelling down a mask that i have drawn in my projetc. Have done this kind of thing at least 4 years ago, so my memory has failed me.
I would like to do this without the need of any 3rd party plug-ins etc.
Any advice would be great.

Try effects Render > Vegas and you can get a dotted line to follow a mask very easily. Maybe you could use Text on a path and find a sortof wingdings font that has an arrow in it if you want actual arrows. Just animate the position of the text along the path.
