    Animating a globe sphere to flat map?

    Hi all,

    This is going to be a no-brainer for somebody. I am trying to take a flat image of a world map and animate it into a sphere and then back to the flat image. I have found that the CC Sphere effect makes the sphere beautifully, but with no parameters to start or end flat.

    Any ideas on how to do this? Thanks!!!

    Serge Hamad recently mentioned using 3D Warp from Zaxwerks for this very thing

    Thanks, I tried doing a search on this topic, but didn’t find this thread. I’m still working on it, but I’m much closer to a solution. Thanks for the info!
