  • animated vector paint is jumpy when playback speed is reduced…

Posted by David Lieberman on March 6, 2008 at 6:52 pm

    hello,

i’ve got an animated vector paint effect. its quite fast so i had to slow it down, but when i slowed down the playback speed it becomes somewhat jumpy and not as smooth..

i was wondering if theres some kind of effect i can put on top of it which will almost shadow its movement so to make it look smoother… if that makes any sense?

    thanks

    thanx for the help.

sorry for not being clear. It isnt possible as far as i know to keyframe animated vector pain effect. You simply draw what you want, and the animation is created according to the speed and position of the mouse pointer…

so first i drew the vector pain with the mouse, while its on ANIMATE STROKE. I then set it to REVEAL LAYER/path and then i tweaked it with the playback speed option in the vector pain effect pallette.

does that clarify it a bit?

    thanx for the help.

fair play, but i’ve tried to do what i need to do with stroke and write-on, and it doesnt allow too many things. such as creating a write-on effect simultenously from two different points to build something like a flower for example.

I know i can split the layer but i have a lot of art made only of strokes, but many of them, which arent connected..so selecting paths wouldnt work at all… im only left with vector paint or creatings masks that reveal the shapes..

    thanx for the help.

Try CC WideTime, that has worked for me in a similar case.
