    OK folks,

I have a company logo with a mascot character, a fox. I need to make the foxes tongue come out and lick his own face. The tongue will be used as a wipe along with a particle that looks like saliva droplets that will wipe the logo and image off scree revealing the footage below.

    It is kinda like this:

The example is at the end right after the burger. I know this example was a true 3D piece but any idea how to do this in AE?

    Thanks,

By the tie you slog through puppet tools, warping, bending, and lots of other hacks, it will be easier to do this with a series of hand drawn still images of the tongue. I didn’t look at your sample clip but if it only takes 30 frames to pull of the lick, you only need 15 separate drawings.

Saliva is a perfect use of Foam but you may need Particle World to give you more slurp, more viscosity. Depending on much dog slobber you need, the effect is probably easier to handle with simple brute force; just animate separate items and duplicate them.
