My company is having photos animated in After Effects for a documentary. We want to export those photos from AE and bring them into an Avid project running DVCPRO HD 1080i 59.94

Can anyone help me with the best possible settings?

Here is what we have now:

Frame Rate: 29.97 (should this be 59.94?)
Field Dominance: Upper Field first with frame blending and motion blur
Compressor: DVCPRO HD (this is taking a long time to import. is there an avid codec that would work better? DV 100?)

Most of the other settings I’m not familiar with and leave them alone.

    Any help would be great.

    Thanks

I’m not familiar with the workflow to Avid (I leave that to our Avid guys…) Are you having any specific problems aside from the long import time?

Have you tried posting this in an Avid forum as well? There might be more specific knowledge of good codecs there (although I’m sure some wiz-bang guru will give you a good answer here too.)
