animated 3d tile array AE/Cinema4d
Really could use some help with this…

I do have the shape (one tile) as a Cinema 4d object
I need to set up a 9×11 array and then bounce them to a music clip.Can any one give me an idea how to do this?
I am fairly adept at AE but have never really worked with Cinema 4D.So please try to be as detailed as you can.

You can do a lot of this in Ae with Element, which is designed to manipulate arrays of 3D objects.
If you go the C4D route, you’d use the Mograph toolset and the Shader Effector. This might help:
