This seems like it should be straight-forward, but can’t seem to find an answer for this.

I have a simple rectangle mask that has a still image in it. I’m animating the mask around the screen, but I also want to change the position and scale of the image WITHIN the mask.

Can’t seem to find the controls for that or info when googling.

    Anyone have an idea?

    Thanks much,

Just animate the the image properties as normal.

If you’re not getting the results you want, then you need to redo your mask. I don’t know what you’re trying to achieve, but maybe try taking it a step at a time. Go to a frame, scale the image and place it, then animate the mask path where you want it. Go to the next frame and repeat.

    Hope that helps,

    George

Don’t apply the mask directly to the layer; apply it to a track matte layer so that you can manipulate the mask and the underlying layer separately.

    When in doubt, precomp!
