animate the writing of text
how can i animate my cursive text, to show it being written by an invisible pen? i’ve just learned how to stroke lines and curves made with the pen tool. can i stroke a cursive font?

one way:
get your text in cursive font on screen
use vector paint to paint over your text, the way you’d like to animate it on
set your vector paint to animate over time
use this now as your matte, so your text is revealed however you painted
