    Hi all,

Is it possible to animate an object/layer along a path?

I’m doing a kinda signiture animation using the stroke thingo. I’ve got a hand with a pencil that i want to animate along with it (as if someone was drawing)… and was wondering if i could use the paths that i’ve got to make animating the hand a bit less time consuming.

    does that make any sence?

    s!

Since you’re using the Stroke effect to animate you signature, I assume you using a mask to lay that stroke on.

Highlight and copy the Mask Shape from the layer with the stroke, then past that to the position of the layer with the hand image.
If the timing not right, dragging either of the end keyframes to match the stroke movement, the position keyframes should be roving, mine were on a quick test.
You might have to move the anchoe point of the hand layer to get it to be where you want.

    Hope it works for you.
