    A client got bit by this the other day, and I was wondering if any of you have tips regarding work-arounds and repairs;

    Client was doing a Facebook Live with an Android phone. Client was shooting with phone vertical, but stopped and switched to landscape mode to get more people in the shot. The live feed ends up sideways on facebook. My reading on this so far indicates that it’s a problem specific to Android phones shooting facebook live, and that iPhones auto-rotate correctly (if that’s turned on) regardless of orientation so the facebook live shot presents in proper orientation.

    Q: Can the Android phone be “fixed” with some kind of app or add-on, to enable landscape shooting? Client told me rotate was enabled but I can’t confirm it. What else can be done besides checking the auto-rotate feature in the phone?

    Q2: I “fixed”the bad video by bringing it into a 4k edit timeline and rotating and re-scaling it. That fixed the orientation problem but the resulting resolution is a little lower in the end product. Is there a better way to fix the rotated video in post while keeping it sharp?

    Q3: Is there a technique inside a facebook page to get Facebook to rotate the video once it is posted?
