Andrew, how to create custom Effects ?
Hi Andrew,
I noticed in the Lightsaber project you created a custom pseudo-effect (one that doesn’t render but is a collection of expression-controls)
I was browsing the After Effects resource file a few weeks ago and found a DTD for defining them in XML, and had noticed before how some packaged behaviours and presets use this engine.
Figuring out how to do it myself is in my ‘someday maybe folder’, but since you’ve done it already, could you share ?

Hey,
Check out aehancers.com there a post about editing your xml presets file. It’s a bit rough and requires dealing with the side effect of the preset showing “missing” I think somebody was modifying the xyz separate preset…Andrew
