  • Anchoring stills to moving images

Hi! I am trying to anchor a still image to a section of road on a moving image. The only problem is, that section of the road is all over the frame because of the way the footage was shot and the way the camera travels down it. Is there a way to anchor something to a color or pixel within an image so that no matter where that section of the image goes the still image will follow?

AE has a motion tracking feature. Have you checked it out?

yes, but you’ll need to use ae’s tracker to track that point on the footage, then apply the tracker data to the image (or a null and parent the image to the null)….

a little confusing, check/search the tutorials for tracker or tracking and consult the help menu for how to use the tracker, if you have more specific questions or troubles with the tracker, just post them.
